For everything there is a season…

To coin a popular 1965 song by The Byrds, ‘For everything there is a season.’ Life,  love,  relationships,  status, and everything in between.  Just when you think you have a handle on things,  Boom! Seasons change.  Spring is seasonin full bloom and the next thing you know,  the leaves are falling.  Where did summer go? That is pretty much life,  right?  People come and go in your life,  spending just enough time to help you through a season. If you are lucky God gives you one or two that stay for a lifetime.

Lately,  there has been a shift in my relationship/friendship status.  And it has caused me to seriously reevaluate how I trust others or more that I do not.  I have had trust issues for most of my life.  If you are honest,  you do also,  on some level.  Maybe low self-esteem,  but more than likely because people lie, cheat, and steal.

Hello Debbie Downer, yeah, yeah. Normally,  I am a bubbly, happy, friendly 44e8d92783729ebe75960e2330860034person… on the outside.  My inner self is always wondering, asking, thinking. Seeing things through clear glasses.  You can keep the rose colored pair. Being a realist, I call it what it is. So, when someone tells you something, take it at face value.  No really… like look at their face.  Are they looking you in the eye?  Do their actions back up their words?  It is like the old adage, “If it walks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.”
Even then, sometimes, that duck turns out to be a goose. grumpy-face

Maybe that is my self fulfilling prophecy.

Maybe it is my never-ending,  self fulfilling prophecy.

Yesterday was renewing, this morning is annoying.  Hoping to the rest of the day to be blissfully outstanding.
